Science Week @ Ballyboy NS
We had a very eventful Science Week in Ballyboy for the last few days. Each classroom has been busy exploring, investigating and experimenting their various projects. We also received a huge parcel in the post containing a set of our STEM VEX IQ Robotics. Inside we got numerous robot building sets and an arena where we can showcase how the robots we create work and move. Other science events and experiments that took place in our classrooms as we studied; Magnets, Forces, Materials, Our Local Environment, Elements, Heat and Electricity. These experiments put our STEM skills to the test as we Questioned, Observed, Predicted, Investigated, Experimented, Measured, Analysed and Recorded our scientific processes. We accessed Zoom activities, videos and content from Offaly County Libraries, RTE, The Science Federation of Ireland, Discover Primary Science, Agri-Aware and the Water Forum to inform our practices. Thanks to all the children who brought Science projects they were working on at home to school to showcase to their friends.
