Scoil Bhride got their team photo taken before having a team huddle with their coach Paul Hogan. They were then lead onto the pitch with a pipe band. All of the children were very nervous and all wanted to do their best. The team was made up of 6th class boys and girls along with 3rd, 4th and 5th class boys.
Both teams showcased great skill throughout the match and it was a great, exciting game for all of the spectators on the sideline. The game was neck and neck at the half time whistle and it was anyone's game. Both teams were ready for the occasion and were doing as much as they could to take home the trophy.
Ballyboy took off in the second half and started to build up their score steadily. All of the children have to be commended for their hard work, from the goal keeper right up to the forward line all of the children were doing their jobs and doing them well. All of the backs made sure that Gortnamona could not score, midfield carried the ball to the forward line where the forwards hit the ball on target to bring Ballyboy to a comfortable lead. In the end Ballyboy were victorious and the children were delighted that all of their hard graft paid off as they were exhausted.
Many thanks to Gortnamona for a brilliant match, to the Referee Martin Walshe, to David Quinn for videoing the match and all of the supporters and teachers who came along to support Scoil Bhríde's Football team through out the year and in the Final.
We would like to say a special thanks to Paul Hogan for his time and commitment coaching the team to their third consecutive Football victory.

Following the match we had a celebration back in the school where all of the team and supporters were invited to join in. We got chips, nuggets and sausages. Very importantly all of the team members got a burger. It was a great night and brilliant to get the community together to celebrate the success and hard work of all the team.
