National Hedgerow Week

National Hedgerow Week took place from Friday, 30th August – Friday, 6th September. As part of National Hedgerow Week, Edel from Laois Outdoor Education visited our school to deliver workshops to all children from 3rd – 6th class. National Hedgerow Week, which is a partnership between Teagasc and the Heritage Council, aimed to raise awareness of the importance of hedges for agriculture, biodiversity and climate. The workshops were very informative and were enjoyed by all our children.
