We are a school full of Junior Entrepreneurs!
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Junior Entrepreneur Flag and Plaque. The Senior Class along with their teacher Michelle Egan were awarded the flag and the plaque for their work on their very successful cookery book for charity that they created, "Recipes and Remedies" which raised over €12,000 to aid our sister school in Ewaso, Kenya. They were also recognised for our Annual Enterprise day where 5th and 6th class get the opportunity to run their own business. It is a great initiative and the children always come up with new and exciting products, competitions and ideas. Also we would like to say a big thank you to Mr. Steven Grant and Mr. John Leahy for attending the flag raising and helping us to celebrate the day. On the day we also received our Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering Plaque of Excellence. This initiative was led by Ms. Callaghan and her class, 3rd & 4th and by Ms. Kelly and her class, Infants. We also celebrated our second Green Flag which was for Energy conservation, thanks to Ms. Callaghan for getting us all involved in this initiative. Well done and thanks to all who were involved in making it a memorable and enjoyable day for all.
